Our signature birds are raised using organic, regenerative practices and pastured on our incredibly diverse field. We grow 100 birds at a time so we can provide the care and attention they require while also being mindful of the pasture that they are grown on.
These birds are hand-harvested, meaning the utmost care and attention is given to each individual animal in our small batch system. We utilize the birds on the farm to regenerate the pasture that supports them; and when they are on pasture, approximately 60% of their diet comes directly from the vegetable and insect life that surrounds them.
Our birds are supplemented with an appropriate compliment of fermented, organic feed, produced by our friends at Green Mountain Feeds, located in Vermont and fermented right on the farm. This feed provides our birds an excellent balance of nutrition that helps us to manage consistent size coupled with the nutrient density that we strive for with every batch. Fermentation of their feed also makes them happier as they are less stressed for water to digest, while the birds are also getting a nice, diverse batch of probiotics. This allows for excellent nutrient uptake, which helps us deliver nutrient dense food.
